Erik Keranen Biography

A dynamic performer who captivates the audience and keeps the crowd entertained at your venue, Erik Keranen has been making music for decades.

Whether as a solo act or with his band: Erik Keranen and the Blue Spurs, he continues to deliver time after time. You will hear a unique mix of songs with the best of Country and Rock that appeals to listeners of all ages.

A multi-instrumentalist, Erik Keranen started on the piano at five, picked up the trumpet at age 11 and was playing guitar professionally on stage by the time he was 14. Harmonica, ukulele, mandolin, keyboards and steel guitar have also been added to the growing list.

Erik’s unique voice and style have been a part of the following groups over the years: Keranen Brothers, Flud Waters, Atomic Café, King Bees, 4-Play and Sal Magundi, just to name a few. Some appearance highlights include the Continental Divide Film and Folk Festival (2012, 1995, 1994), Holmes Theatre and ON STAGE cable television performance.

Erik Keranen has independently released 2 albums of original music. In 1993 he released “GRIN” followed by “Wake Up Call” in 2003. With songs that move & groove, Erik is sure to delight the listener with his special blend of music.
